Want to organize a small meal for two for this special day, flowers, a gift and a dinner are on the agenda for this February 14.Although moments like this can be organized at any time of the year, February 14 remains the day of lovers. 

To have the best meal ever, you can’t start without a cocktail for the occasion, can you? That’s why we’ve selected 5 sensational recipes to have a great time on Valentine’s Day.

The Club Cover:

 

Ingredients :

  • 60 ml of gin
  • 20 ml lemon juice
  • 20 ml cane syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 4 – 5 raspberries

Preparation of the Club Cover:

  1. In your shaker, mash the raspberries to release the juice
  2. Using a juicer, squeeze the lemon
  3. Add the remaining ingredients to the shaker
  4. Shake vigorously without ice (dry shake)
  5. Repeat the operation with ice cubes
  6. Serve in the glass, using the strainer for a second filtration
  7. Garnish with a raspberry

Note: If you are wondering what the egg white will do for this cocktail, here is the answer. The egg white will add a smooth texture to your cocktail.

The next cocktail in a beautiful glass will appeal to both men and women. It will be a great addition to your Valentine’s Day dinner.

 

Le coup de coeur

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lager
  • 20 ml lemon juice
  • 30 ml raspberry juice or puree
  • 1 pinch of Espelette pepper

Preparation:

  1. Mix the juices and the chili in a shaker
  2. Pour the preparation into a glass. Add the beer until you reach 2/3 of the glass. 
  3. Top up with rose-flavored soy milk foam (optional)

Tips:

  • If you don’t have a shaker, you can pour the juices one by one, it will make layers of colors and it will be just as pretty.
  • As a decoration, you can place a skewer of red fruits on the edge of the glass.

 

To get out of the ordinary and make a cocktail with a touch of spice, here is the cocktail we recommend:

 

Bloody milk 

 

Ingredients for 1 glass:

  • 1/3 tomato juice
  • 1/3 milk
  • 1/3 vodka
  • 1 dash of lemon
  • 1 dash worcester sauce
  • salt
  • celery salt
  • pepper
  • tabasco

Preparation:

  1.  Put 2 ice cubes in the glass
  2. Pour in the tomato juice and milk
  3. Add the vodka
  4. Mix with a spoon (if you have a shaker, put the ingredients in it, mix and pour the container in the glass)
  5. Season it with lemon, worcester sauce. Add salt, celery salt, pepper and tabasco.

Tip:

  • For a non-alcoholic cocktail, you can omit the vodka.
  • To give the glass a frosted effect, moisten the glass with lemon juice, gently turn the rim of the glass into the sugar and let it dry before pouring the container into the glass. 

 

The cupid

 

Ingredients:

  • Fresh ginger
  • 5 cl of vodka
  • 4 cl of pear juice
  • 3 cl lychee juice
  • 3 fresh mint leaves

Preparation of the recipe

  1. From a piece of fresh ginger, take 3 thin slices with a peeler, put them in a mortar with 5 cl of vodka and crush.
  2. Pour this mixture into a shaker with 4 cl of pear juice, 3 cl of lychee juice and 3 fresh mint leaves.
  3. Shake and serve the cocktail in a flute.

Tips:

For the decoration of the cocktail, you can put 2/3 mint leaves or on a small wooden stick insert a fresh lychee.

The cherry and grapefruit cocktail

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cl of cherry syrup
  • 2 cl of grapefruit syrup
  • 4 cl of fresh ginger
  • 3 cl lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of crushed ice
  • soda water

 Preparation:

  1.  Put all the ingredients in a shaker.
  2. Shake the mixture and strain before pouring into a cocktail glass. 
  3. Decorate the glass with a slice of lemon and/or some fresh or candied cherries.

Tip:

For an even more refreshing cocktail, add another 5 cl of sparkling water, this will reduce the sweetness of the cocktail.
