1/ Cocktail recipes : Classic Mojito

 

One of the most refreshing summer cocktails is the mojito! This cocktail is perfectly balanced with lime, rum and mint. Here is a recipe that is not too sweet and above all, sparkling.

 

Ingredients 

  • 4 large mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons white rum
  • ½ cup sparkling water

 

Preparation steps

  1. In a shaker, crush the mint leaves. 
  2. Add the lime juice, simple syrup and rum. 
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake until the mixture is cold.
  4. Put ice in a stemmed glass or tumbler and strain the liquid. 
  5. Top up the glass with sparkling water. 
  6. Finally, garnish with extra mint leaves or lime pieces.

 

 

2/ Cherry Mojito Mocktail

 

If you’re looking for a new take on a classic, this is the cherry mojito mocktail. Made with fresh cherries, lime and mint, this mocktail is an original way to concoct the classic mojito. The cherries are like sunshine sliding down your throat. Mixed with a mojito, it becomes the perfect non-alcoholic cocktail for brunch or special occasions. 

 

Ingredients 

 

> For the cherry syrup

  • 1 cup fresh pitted cherries 
  • 1 cup of water 
  • ⅔ cup sugar 

 

> For the two mojitos 

  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves 
  • 1 lime 
  • ¼ cup cherry syrup 
  • Seltzer or sparkling water
  • Fresh mint, lime wedges and cherries

 

Preparation steps 

  1. Simmer syrup, combining 1 cup cherries, ⅔ cup sugar and 1 cup water. Stir until the cherries break down to a smooth liquid. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool.
  2. In a stemmed glass or tumbler, combine the mint leaves, cherries and lime slices. 
  3. Using a wooden spoon, mash the ingredients to release their flavours.
  4. Add the cherry syrup and ice. 
  5. Then pour in the soda water or seltzer until the glass is almost full.
  6. Finally, decorate the glass with a mint leaf and cherries.

 

 

3/ Cocktail recipes : Strawberry vodka 

 

This is a light and refreshing recipe, perfect for summer, or whenever you have a bunch of fresh strawberries. Mix the ingredients directly in the glass and enjoy the amazing flavour combination: homemade strawberry syrup, lime juice and a little mint, and it’s all the flavour of a fresh tasting drink.

 

Ingredients

 

>For the strawberry syrup 

  • 200g strawberries 
  • 90g sugar 
  • 120 ml water

 

>For the cocktail 

  • 3 tablespoons of vodka
  • 1 tablespoon homemade strawberry syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice 
  • 12 cl of sparkling water

 

Preparation steps

  1. Boil the strawberries, sugar and water for 12 minutes, until the strawberries break down. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to obtain a smooth syrup. Chill in a cool place. 
  2. Mix the vodka, strawberry syrup and lime juice together in a highball tumbler
  3. Fill the glass with ice, then add the soda water. 
  4. Stir gently to combine. 
  5. Garnish with strawberry pieces and mint leaves. 

 

 

4/ Cocktail recipes : Watermelon Martini

 

Here is a summer cocktail full of fruity flavours: the Watermelon Martini! This vodka martini is mainly made of watermelon, with a pure and refreshing flavour. Here is the recipe for this original cocktail, ideal for a dinner party or even by the pool. 

 

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup watermelon juice
  • 2 large mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons of vodka
  • 1 tablespoon Cointreau (or whatever you prefer)
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of simple syrup

 

Preparation steps

  1. Add the watermelon juice and crushed mint to a cocktail shaker. 
  2. Add the vodka, Cointreau, lime juice and simple syrup.
  3. Fill with ice and shake until the mixture is cold.
  4. Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass
  5. Decorate the glass with a small watermelon wedge. 

 

 

5/ Frosé Cocktail

 

There’s nothing better in summer than a perfectly frosé wine drink. The Frosé is a sparkling mix between an iced cocktail and the ultimate summer rosé wine. Wondering how to make this cocktail? Here is the easiest recipe.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of rosé wine (750 ml)
  • 12 large strawberries 
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for vegans)

 

Instructions

  1. Remove the tops from the strawberries and cut them in half.
  2. In a blender, mix the rosé wine, strawberries and honey until smooth. 
  3. Pour the mixture through a sieve into a bowl.
  4. Put the bowl in the freezer and freeze for at least 6 hours.
  5. Blend the mixture again until it is frothy.
  6. Place the mixture in a stemmed glass or tumbler and then pour a drop of rosé into each glass.
  7. Finally, decorate the glass with pieces of strawberries.

 

 

6/ St Germain Spritz

 

Here is a light and fresh cocktail, one of the best drinks for summer: the St Germain Spritz! It’s floral and fizzy, full of effervescence and slightly sweet flavour. This cocktail is perfect for a relaxing poolside moment or brunch. And it only takes 5 minutes to make!

 

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons of St Germain
  • 6 tablespoons of sparkling wine
  • 2 tablespoons sparkling water
  • Ice cream 
  • For decoration: Lemon slices, thyme, lavender or fresh rosemary.  

 

Instructions

  • Add the St Germain to a stemmed glass filled with ice and stir. 
  • Top up with sparkling wine and soda water.
  • Squeeze lemon slices and stir gently. 
  • Serve the cocktail with fresh herbs such as lavender or rosemary.
